GT racing talent Blake Angliss will be making a welcome return to the British GT Championship paddock this season after joining front-running team Mahiki Racing as their official reserve driver.
Successful one-make Ginetta racer Angliss, who receives the crucial continued support of TOPDON UK, stepped up to British GT last year for his endurance racing debut. He immediately proved himself capable of matching the pace of the leading GT4 class contenders and scored a brilliant class podium finish in only his fourth race.
Angliss’ speed, experience and adaptability has been recognised by Mahiki Racing, who will be integrating him into their race weekend operations. As well as contributing to car development and performance analysis throughout the season, Angliss will be ready to step in and race if needed.
Mahiki Racing enjoyed an impressive maiden British GT campaign last year, scoring a class win, multiple podium finishes and two GT4 lap records with the Lotus Emira GT4. They’re aiming to build on those achievements this season as they expand to a three-car British GT entry.
The Staffordshire-based squad have also been named as an official Lotus partner team for 2025. They will benefit from enhanced commercial and performance support from the manufacturer, which is sure to only strengthen their bid for British GT success this year.
Blake Angliss: “Joining Mahiki Racing is a fantastic opportunity. I’m looking forward to working with the team, supporting the drivers, and being ready to step in if needed. The British GT Championship is highly competitive, and I’m excited to be a part of such a strong program. Thank you also to TOPDON UK for their continued support."
Steven Lake - Team Co-Owner, Mahiki Racing: “We’re delighted to welcome Blake to Mahiki Racing. His skillset and professionalism make him a great asset to the team. Having a strong reserve driver is crucial in a championship as competitive as British GT, and we’re confident that Blake will be ready to perform when called upon.”

The British GT Championship is one of the world’s foremost domestic GT series, showcasing some of the most prestigious sportscars in motorsport through a successful two-class format for GT3 and GT4 machinery, with no less than 12 different marques represented on the grid in 2024.
The 2025 championship will be contested across seven events, with nine races ranging from one to three hours in length. All of the leading circuits in the UK are featured on the calendar, alongside a traditional overseas event at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
